Good to see the Javelin record still stands. Wow, is that realy 21 years ago. Good job Simon. Thanks for keeping the records alive.
Jimmmy R Goodman. (Steve backley / Jan zelezny wannabe at the time).

Hi there,

Wow! I cannot believe that I am still the 5kg Intermediate shot-putt record holder.
I did notice, however, that the year should be 1986 not 1988 (I had left Worksop by then and was working in Hamburg 1987-1988).

Nice to see the info is "alive".

Cheers,

Jon (jishmerlarda@googlemail.com if anyone wants to stay in touch)

Hi there!

Just read your facebook comment on my photo, you are correct! But the 200m is wrong I ran 21.95 and I'm not mentioned, very upsetting!!

Excellent work though and nice to see someone's kept these records alive.

Athletics was and hopefully still is a strong sport at WC, I have fond memories touring the country and even getting Notts to 2nd place in the National Decathlon Finals...I'm out of breath just thinking about it!!

Best regards,
Alex
