when it comes to tagging the trains and tracks - you gotta be quick, if he was tagging the walls of some alleyway somewhere then hed have time for art.hes got my respect because track walking is risky and he does it daily.

I’m sick and tired of hearing that Tox is not good at art, how are you a good judge of his artistic talent? Other than saying “i dont like his style” you’re unqualified to express any judgement about his aestethics, only your personal taste. I’d say he’s good at it because any old fart can distinguish his tag, it’s clear as day but done with a trashy look. Anyone could do it, but Tox did it, got crazy famous and is in a boat of trouble just for the sake of a signature. Sacrificed for his own private cause… i’d say thats art.

ive met tox,he was on my wing ofsprey and was my “next door” at feltham young offenders with in 2003.first glance you’d think he’d looked weird,quite plump,pale skin,greasy and un-brushed.
cant remember his first name,but his second name was halpin and he was from brixton.
he was in prison 4 breaching his asbo,which stopped him carrying markers,he was caught in a bus depot early hours of morning with markers and spray paint.
i remember once watching a police show and part of the show was about the amount of damage “toxic had caused,when it started the wing erupted,cell doors being kicked and an echo of brap brap,.

You comparing a chrome and black in traffic trackside with a legal wall painted by Dek XL, just goes to prove that you know fuck all about what you’re commenting one.

Tox aint in the game to earn the respect of people like you mate, and it’s a crying shame that graff fame at tox’s level has the unfortunate affect of bringing him to the attention of people outside the scene who aint got a fucking monkeys what they are criticising.

Stick to commenting on middle class role models like Wankys…

I think people are far too obsessed with the concept of art. Basically his goal is to be up everywhere, seen everywhere. He’s doing pretty well at it. Sometimes it makes you think “how the hell did he get there?!” which I like. Debating if you can call it art or not is missing the point I think.

TOX is a good graffiti writer. he is up and thats the point.
most of the pretty pictures are legal spots, more time to make them pretty, but tox dont give a fuck about that why would he he don’t need to paint pretty pictures to be a graffiti writer.
I do find it very impressive when i see real tight illigal work tho.
